ETS World Record Attempt! Be a part of it!
A note from Stuart
Lloyd, over the years, has committed himself fully to his dream of having his own Football Club and has not only dedicated much of his time to ETS (and other clubs) but also much of his own personal finances…something I really admire and I’m sure you do too. Many of our kids have benefited from his passion for getting children out onto the soccer pitch, whether they have dreams of playing professionally or not, Lloyd and his team are there to give them all the opportunity to enjoy The Beautiful Game. The current World Record (according to Guinness Book of World Records) is 30hrs 10mins, held by a group of players from Canada. I have seen that, UNOFFICIALLY, this record was beaten by two teams from Qatar (40 hours), our attempt of 60 hours will totally obliterate both of them! Official acceptance of our application to Guinness Book of World Records has been received.
RECORD ATTEMPT DETAILS
3rd November 2016 06h00 - 5th November 2016 18h00
ETS Soccer Club (46 Plein Street, Ruimsig AH) Apart from getting to the 60 hour mark, our goal is to raise R500 000 for the building of a couple of classrooms where the less fortunate kids that play for ETS will be able to do their homework (under supervision) then head out to the field for training. In the evenings, the classrooms would then be converted into a gym for physical conditioning. We are looking for sponsors and various packages are available. If you have any contacts that may be able to assist, we would be greatly appreciative. In order to create a sustainable sponsorship or fund resource for the club, we would like to sell as many signboards around the indoor court as possible at a cost of R6 000. If you are unable to sponsor a board then please consider sponsoring a Rand amount per hour completed or a player of your choice. ETS is a registered NPO, this is a great opportunity to meet your company's CSI requirements while helping your club. If there is anything else you might want to ask about, please drop me an e-mail or you are also welcome to give me a call on my cell. Thanks again everyone! Let’s do this!
