DRIBBLING AND PASSING
Ball Mastery Rotation Drill
PRACTICE ORGANIZATION
Working in an area 20 x 20 12 - 14 players each player with a ball (team in white) that dribble around the square/area. Two additional players with one ball between them must pass around the square/area avoiding the dribbling players. All players move freely around the square/area.
PURPOSE OF THE SESSION
This activity will teach players to dribble with the ball under control and teach players to pass and create space when players are blocking the passing option and assess where there is space to play. Teach players to execute passing in tight spaces and what techniques to use.

PROGRESSION
Reduce the space of the square/area
Add more pair passing between the dribbling players
Add more dribblers
Combine the number of passing players (3 players, or 4 players)
COACHING POINTS
Looking -up to assess situations and identify clear passing opportunities
Different passing techniques
Recognition of space and time to execute accurate passes to partners
Maintain possession while seeking passing options
Teaching players the correct weight to put on the pass in relation to space and time available
